Product Warranty Policy

CENSE PRODUCT WARRANTY POLICY

This Warranty Agreement (“Warranty”) is issued by Cense Power and Technologies in respect of Products by the Company. From the date of installation/Purchase, Cense offers a limited warranty on Cense Products installed directly by us.

At Cense, we design every product to power your life with confidence and consistency. While our systems are built to last, we know that sometimes, things can go wrong. Whether it’s a factory fault or an installation issue, our warranty ensures you’re covered.

Warranty Coverage

Product/Component Warranty Duration Coverage
Portable Power Banks 3 Months Covers manufacturing or early performance faults under normal use.
Solar Generators 1 Year Covers manufacturing defects or system failures from standard operation.
Off-Grid and C&I Installations 2 Years Covers component defects, design, or installation related issues handled by Cense.

Repairs & Replacements

If your Cense product needs attention, we’ll repair it as good as new. If it’s beyond repair but still within the warranty period, we’ll replace the faulty part or product at no extra cost. For Mini-grid and C &I installations, our engineers will assess and resolve the issue promptly to minimize downtime.

Warranty Terms

  • Warranty starts from the date of purchase or installation commission.
  • Warranty applies only when the Product is deployed, installed, operated, and maintained in accordance with Cense’s installation and usage guidelines.
  • All servicing must be done by Cense authorized technicians.
  • Replacement parts may be new or refurbished (will meet original specifications) and remain under the original warranty term.
  • Transportation or site visit fees are the sole responsibility of the customer.

Exclusions

Your warranty does not cover:

  • Damage from misuse, negligence, or unauthorized installation.
  • Power surges, fire, water, or environmental damage.
  • Normal wear and tear (e.g., fading, scratches, paint peeling, gradual battery decline).
  • Failure to use Cense Power exclusively for routine maintenance or modifications.
  • Expiration of the Warranty Period.
  • Exceeding the recommended load limits or improper operation.
  • Voltage surges, power fluctuations, or unstable grid or generator power.
  • Incorrect installation, self-installation, or failure to follow the user manual.
  • Malicious damage or customer negligence.
  • Damage during customer-arranged transportation.
  • Improper or unintended usage.
  • Installation in poorly ventilated or unsuitable environments.
  • Theft, vandalism, or force majeure events (e.g., lightning, fire, storm, earthquakes, extreme humidity, overvoltage).

How to Make a Warranty Claim

Contact Cense Support via support@censepower.com or +234 707 155 9039 within 24 hours of discovering any fault or defect and provide the following:

  1. Customer’s full name, address, and contact number;
  2. Provide proof of purchase or commissioning certificate.
  3. Share photos or full details of the fault.
  4. Evidence that the Product’s serial number is intact and legible.
  5. Our technical team will assess and coordinate repairs or replacements.

Transportation and Service

The Customer shall bear the cost of:

  • Transporting the Product or Component to Cense’s Head Office at: 652 Casava Street, Wuye, Abuja
  • Logistics if Cense is requested to retrieve the Product for offsite repairs.

All returns must be securely packaged in original or equivalent packaging to avoid damage during transit. For onsite Fault/Service/Repair (FSR) requests, a call-out fee will apply (amount to be determined by Cense Power at the time of request).

Generator Use Guidelines

Where public grid power is unavailable, Customers must use appropriately rated generators. Refer to the inverter manual for acceptable generator frequency range and capacity per model. Cense will not be liable for any damage or performance issues resulting from:

  • Improper generator use;
  • Operation outside the inverter’s specified frequency range; or
  • Power fluctuations during generator-grid transitions.

Preventive Maintenance Plan

Preventive Maintenance is not included under this standard Warranty. Customers shall subscribe to maintenance plans separately. Please note:

  • Maintenance plans do not cover parts or faults unrelated to manufacturing defects, even if discovered during maintenance.
  • Maintenance plans do not extend the Warranty Period.
